Last Friday Night...

...we did NOT dance on tabletops.  In fact, we didn't eat at a table the whole weekend!  A few days back, I posted about our weekend being interrupted.  In actuality, it was the best thing that's happened in quite some time.

Check out these beauties!  We picked them up after a long, leisurely supper at 211 in Lavonia.  I had a bowl of corn chowder and a reuben (my fave!) and Josh had a bowl of potato soup, a roasted turkey sandwich, and a wedge salad.  For dessert, we had chocolate pie and chocolate peanut butter cake...yum!

Please notice two things:  Josh's intensity and his pajama pants.  What can I say?  The boy loves to be comfortable.

No. 2 {Achilles} was incredibly interested in his mommy and daddy's autumnal activities.

No. 1 {Perseus} did not share his brother's sentiments.

Seriously...he was all about the pumpkin.  He even ate some!

 GUTS!

Josh's super amazing pumpkin.  There isn't a picture of my pumpkin.  I may be a crafter, but my attention span is like...

We roasted pumpkin seeds...delicious & nutritious!

While they roasted, we cuddled with the babies.

We were too tired to build a fort.  Instead, we dragged the guest room mattress and linens into the living room.  Isn't it cozy?

Salted caramel hot chocolate, chocolate truffles, and roasted pumpkin seeds.  Yummy snack!

Coach Callicutt had a soccer game.  It was too cute.

We enjoyed a spooky-fun Halloween party with Andina, Payne, Tucker, and {soon to make his grand appearance} Tate!

Who needs the Georgia/Florida game when you've got Gene Kelly?

Tasty, greasy, authentic NY pizza.  Delish!

Gregory Peck--the best way to end the day.

This lazy weekend was just what the doctor (unfortunately, not THE Doctor) ordered.  We slept in everyday, ate lots of greasy, delicious food, and got lots of quality time.  All in all, it was fantastic.  I think we'd forgotten what it meant to have a weekend to ourselves.  I must ask...what would YOU do with a weekend with no plans?

  1. I don't know what it's like to have no running around to do on the weekend. I'm supremely jealous of your weekend and think it could only be made better with some Doctor Who thrown in the mix!
